In-Person Volunteer Services Activities
Mayor's Day of Concern
Mayors Day of Concern, October 21st from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., is a day where local grocery stores in Sammamish and Issaquah, the Issaquah Food Bank, and
partners come together to support our community through a communnity food drive.
We currently have eight volunteers signed up and have been assigned to the Fred Meyer
grocery store in Issaquah. If we get more volunteers, we may be able to offer 2-hour time slots. If you are interested in participating, please contact Laura Weber (lauraweber1950@gmail.com) or Julie Dreher (julesdreher@gmail.com) or sign up at our
October business meeting.
In addition to the above in-person volunteer opportunity, we continue to support
KidVantage (formerly Eastside Baby Corner) by volunteering each month on the third Friday of the month.
Duties typically include sorting diapers and clothing, packing baby wipes, or whatever is
requested. The group volunteers from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and often enjoys lunch together afterward. Please contact Laura or Julie (contact info above) if you would like to participate. The next
date is October 20th.
