The Issaquah Women’s Club was founded in 1983 when a group of women, in the spirit of friendship and service, joined forces to become more involved in the community. We are a diverse organization, coming from a variety of backgrounds, professions, age groups, and ethnicities. Today, we number nearly a hundred and expect that number to grow as women in the community learn more about who we are and what we do.
By
working together, not only do we build friendships but we also use our strength
in numbers to reach out to our community.
We are a social club who, through our Issaquah Women’s Foundation, are dedicated to a variety of charitable and humanitarian projects. We work together as friends, using our unique skills and talents to address the needs in our community. And as we work together, building friendships on the way, we are also uniquely privileged to share time together socially, strengthening our bonds and opening our hearts, not only to each other but to our community as well.
Our
club, through our foundation, is the sole provider of funds for the Eastside
Domestic Violence Continuing Education Scholarship. We also award “Follow
Your Dream” scholarships each year to local high school senior girls wishing
to further their education.
Our annual charity benefit, Easy & Elegant Entertaining, is held in Issaquah’s historic Pickering Barn in November. This unique event, presented by the Issaquah Women’s Foundation on behalf of the Issaquah Women’s Club, brings together a variety of local businesses with solutions to make entertaining elegant, yet simple and fun. Their displays range from simple exhibit spaces to elaborate tablescapes and their items are for sale. The day also includes interactive demonstrations, modeling events, wine tasting, and a silent auction. All proceeds from the event go to the scholarships and local charities to whom we have pledged our support, including:
● Eastside Domestic Violence Continuing Education Fund
● Scholarships to
● Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank
● Issaquah Church & Community Services
●
● Eastside Baby Corner

We also recognize one of these charities each month with member donations of time, money, and items they particularly need.
