To comply with the King County Phase 2 response to COVID-19, we will be holding our business meetings virtually via Zoom. Our next meeting will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 1st. Members will be sent the link to log in to the meeting via email from the IWC Gmail account, so keep an eye out for that.
The October meeting will feature a speaker, Mary Lou Pauly, Mayor of Issaquah. She will join us at 10:30 a.m., so be sure to log in to the meeting on time so we're all online before she begins her presentation on "The State of the City of Issaquah." During this unusual time, we're sure there is lots going in Issaquah. We missed seeing Mayor Pauly a few months ago due to the lockdown, but now she's back!
We are continuing to explore options and the best ways to meet the needs of our members, but the plan as of now is to feature a speaker at many of our virtual business meetings. We already have a speaker lined up for November: Christine Bruning, the Executive Director of the Downtown Issaquah Association. She will join us to talk about this community-led, volunteer-based, nonprofit Washington State Maine Street Program. DIA is celebrating 25 years in service to Historic Downtown Issaquah. They're housed in the Hailstone Feed Store & Gasoline Station, and sponsor many events and activities, collaborating with other nonprofits and Issaquah agencies. This should be a fun and informativve presentation that you don't want to miss!
As details become available for programs throughout the year, they will be posted here and published in our monthly newsletter.
Guests are always welcome! However, until we can once again gather face-to-face, attending a meeting is not a simple matter of showing up at a physical venue. So if you are interested in being our guest at a meeting, please email us at email@example.com.
