Our next meeting will be oue HOLIDAY LUNCHEON AND CELEBRATION on Thursday, December 1, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Lodge at Beaver Lake, 25201 SE 24th Street, Sammamish. Thirty-six of us will gather for our "Feliz Navidad" holiday celebration. The luncheon will feature a taco bar--choices of Tinga (chicken in tomato and chipotle sauce), Chile Verde Pork (stewed green chiles and tomatillos), and Veggie (poblano peppers, onions, roasted corn, and mushrooms in a creamy sauce). There will be sides of black beans, cilantro lime rice, and tortillas, as well as taco garnishes. And don't forget to save some room for dessert, beause this feast will be followed by delectable delights created by some of our members.
And of course if wouldn't be a holiday party without some tunes playing in the background, a few Christmas games to enjoy and laugh along with, raffle drawings, and table talk--one of our favorite things!
So put on your party clothes, bring your festive spirit, and get ready to celebrate in IWC style!
Our next business meeting will be on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at the Lodge at Beaver Lake, 25201 SE 24th Street, Sammamish, at 9:30 a.m. At 10:00 a.m., after some social time along with coffee and treats, the meeting will convene with a brief welcome, followed by a program and a short business meeting.
Our program will be a presentation by Laura Fowls, Clinical Director/owner of Eastside Therapy Services. ETS provides a wide range of natural and play-based pediatric therapy services. In Febrary 2022, ETS opened a new naturalistic therapy center in Gilman Village where children can enjoy learning, playing, and growing with the support of a team of skilled pediatric therapists in a community-centered location. Their indoor therapy center is an inviting classroom environment, while their outdoor therapy center allows children to be "immersed in nature, play and the community." Working closely with children's families, they feature a variety of services--individual therapy programs, comprehensive therapy programs for children with autism, and an on-site animal assisted therapy program.
